FC Rangers are very excited that its girls program has developed to include girls who are at so many different places in their soccer careers. The 2020 Spring season will offer girls different options based on their skill levels and soccer experience. We are pleased to offer a program that will help all players develop their skills, knowledge, teamwork, and confidence.

Our all girls teams provide the best opportunities for developing as soccer players and enjoying the game with their peers though skill and experience based tier group training. Girls may opt to play on a standard boys teams at registration instead of joining the specialized girls program Training sessions will be station based, providing experience appropriate technical and tactical development.

Training sessions will end in a small-sided games to facilitate immediate application of instruction and an opportunity to develop team play.

All teams will play a game on Friday (either at 6 or 7 p.m.) in the spring league. Girls teams will be placed into an appropriate coed division based on their evaluated skill, size and experience level. This means that some Girls R Kickin teams will play in their age group against coed teams, whereas other Girls R Kickin’ teams will play down an age group.

This follows generally accepted soccer practice to allow an even playing field against boys teams. Our goal is to create a framework for the girls which will be fun, continue their soccer development, and foster life-long friendships among our players.

Beyond just being great fun, studies show that girls who play team sports tend to do better in school, maintain healthier bmi, and report higher levels of self esteem, among other benefits.
