ODP 2017 Players

2017 is already looking pretty good. There are over 250 clubs and 100,000 players in Florida’s FYSA. To stand out with the talent we develop makes us proud and is one way we like to measure our success. When over 10% of the pool of players in the U17 Olympic Development Program (ODP) are Rangers, it says a lot. Gabriel Restrepo, Noah Moothedan, Harry Flanagan and Ian Flores are the U17 players that made the pool of players and Jason Nicolette made the U16 team. These players represent our club and are motivation for the younger boys and girls in our system.

The US Youth Soccer ODP Philosophy:
To identify players of the highest caliber on a continuing and consistent basis, which will lead to increased success for the U.S. National Teams in the international arena.

Their Purpose:
The US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program was formed in 1977 to identify a pool of players in each age group from which a National Team will be selected for international competition; to provide high-level training to benefit and enhance the development of players at all levels; and, through the use of carefully selected and licensed coaches, develop a mechanism for the exchange of ideas and curriculum to improve all levels of coaching.
