Team and Tryout Registration

Team and tryout Registration is Now Open!

Rangers Tryout Registration is now open.  Due to the uncertainty around COVID-19 and other changes things will be much different this year.

Your registration is now vital in helping us determine and communicate team assignments.

To aid our planning please complete registration by May 9th

In response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Rangers has implemented a specific refund policy to address uncertainty in relation to tryouts, deposits and fees for the 2020-2021 season: In the event that the 2020-21 season is unable to take place as a result of continued measures to address the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Rangers will refund registration fees paid for the season. We await the directions from FYSA, State and the experts regarding full access to the fields and leagues. There will be nominal expenses as we have to register teams to leagues along with player registrations. We will not order any uniforms until we have received clearance from the powers confirming league play.

We hope that all of you are healthy and safe while we, as a community, are under mandated coronavirus restrictions.   All our lives have been turned upside down in every way possible.   We miss our time on the practice field and of course, playing competitive games while challenging ourselves to improve.   Hopefully, we will soon return to near-normal, signaling a return to soccer as well.

Toward that end, when soccer returns, we want to assure that those who played for Rangers last year remain part of our Rangers family. Rangers is not just a soccer club of players, but also a community of families and friends who use soccer to connect and stay connected.  It is a second family to many of us.   As your soccer family, we want you to know that we will make it possible for all of you – players and parents – to return to practice schedules and competition as quickly but as safely as possible, pending clearance from government and league authorities.

When that time comes, we will give you the same in-depth, concentrated training and encouragement as before COVID-19 stopped our sessions.   Due to the COVID-19 interruption, however, tryouts for the 2020-2021 season have been postponed.   Therefore, we are inviting all who played for Rangers in the 2019-2020 season to return for the 2020-2021 competitive season without attending tryouts .   Returning players are guaranteed a roster spot for the 2020-2021 season . At any time during the year players can move to different teams based on their ongoing evaluation.

Tryouts for new competitive players will be announced at a later date, once the current COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

Registration for returning competitive players will open May 23, 2020.   At registration, a non-refundable commitment fee/deposit will be collected, which will be applied to the player’s annual fees.   As always, the player’s annual fee covers league registration, insurance, administration fees, and uniform purchase.   Player fees for this year remain the same as last season.   We are sensitive to those who may be dealing with financial hardships at this time.   If you need to discuss a different fee, payment plan or scholarship, please feel free to contact us.   Sign on fee can be flexible. Registration for returning players will be open from May 1-30, 2020.

  • Step 2: Discussion and Placement. Next, the directors and coaching staff will work together to discuss players and place players on teams. New players to the club will be placed in order to be evaluated and placed accordingly once we begin play.
  • Step 3: Roster Spot Offers.During this phase, coaches of assigned teams will call each registered player to offer a Rangers team roster spot to them, just as is done after a tryout process.
  • Step 4: Register for Team. We will send more communication on this when the time comes. After a player accepts an offer, they will then need to register (with a new link provided) for the specific team they are invited to join. Upon registering for a team there will be a registration fee which will be refunded should the 2020/21 season not take place.
