We are excited to unveil our new partnership with the G.R.I.T. Academy, an innovative program utilized by MK Dons that is set to transform the way we approach player development—both on and off the field.

Milton Keynes Dons, born from the ashes of Wimbledon FC, is a League 2 professional team in England who have been revolutionized under their new ownership and leadership structure. MK Dons has become one of the hotbeds for cultivating talent in the most soccer saturated country in the world.

Through this collaboration, our players will gain access to world-class training in key areas that elite-level performers excel in, including:

We are thrilled to welcome Carmie Landeen to the club in the role of Club Technical Director and Head of Player Development for the girls’ program. Carmie brings with her a wealth of experience and will play an integral role in the development of all players and staff within the club. Carmie will collaborate with the coaching staff to design and execute player development programs for all Lady Rangers teams, while incorporating the GRIT Academy and MK Dons technical standards into our programming. Our spring program uses a player development format inspired by the Belgian FA. For younger players, sessions focus on dribbling and scoring (shooting)—the skills that best match how kids learn at that age—using a fun “Dribbling Football” approach on mini-pitches with adapted goals. As players get older, they will progress into receiving and passing, along with basic positions and tactics. More >

US Youth Soccer announced a landmark format change to its National Championships, starting with the 2025-26 season.

Beginning with the current season, State Cup champions from all 54 USYS State Associations will advance directly to the National Championships, eliminating the traditional Regional Championship round. More >

Tickets are Now Available for The Crown and Shield Junior Gala

We’re excited to announce that tickets are now available for the annual Crown and Shield Junior Gala, taking place on February 21, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the International Event Venue.

This is the 15th year of celebrating and it will once again be an unforgettable evening honoring our young Rangers and the community that supports them. While this is a night to celebrate our players, it is also a night for all the adults who have inspired and encouraged the players throughout the season. The dance floor is open to you. Upcoming Changes for Age Group for 2026-2027 Season

U.S. Youth Soccer, US Club Soccer, and the Association of Youth Soccer Organizations have jointly announced a significant change to how age groups will be organized starting with the 2026–27 season. Instead of basing teams on the calendar year (January–December), youth soccer nationwide will return to using a seasonal cycle that runs from August through July to better align players with their school-grade peers.
